Frequently asked questions
- What is Tradecraft?
- Tradecraft is a security assessment response agent. It drafts answers to your customers' security questionnaires from your own approved answers and security documents, then hands them to your reviewers and approvers for sign-off.
- Which questionnaire formats can I upload?
- Excel (XLSX and CSV), Word (DOCX) and PDF, up to 25 MB per file. Tradecraft writes the finished answers back into the file in its original format: the answer cells of a spreadsheet, the answer cells and lines of a Word document, and the form fields or the space under each question of a PDF. A digitally signed PDF is never changed; its answers come back as a separate document. Assessments guide
- Does the AI make up answers?
- Tradecraft searches your approved answers and knowledge first and cites its sources. When it doesn't have enough context it says so and flags the question instead of guessing. Every draft shows a confidence score, and nothing is final until an approver finalizes it.
- Who can approve answers?
- Organizations have four roles: user, reviewer, approver and admin. Reviewers edit and send an assessment to Finalize; approvers (and admins) finalize it and approve changes to the Knowledge Hub. Roles
- Can Tradecraft use our existing Confluence, SharePoint or Google Drive™ content?
- Yes. Admins connect Confluence, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive with read-only access and choose what to import, as a one-time copy or kept in sync. Integrations
- Do you support single sign-on?
- Yes. Microsoft Entra ID, Google and Okta over OIDC, any SAML 2.0 identity provider, and SCIM 2.0 provisioning. Single sign-on and SCIM are part of the Enterprise plan. SSO & provisioning
- What happens when our monthly AI budget runs out?
- No new AI work starts until the next month or until the budget is raised; nothing is lost. Your admins are alerted at 80 % and 100 %. Answers you have already approved keep working. AI budget
- Can one person belong to several organizations?
- Yes. One Tradecraft login can belong to several organizations, and you switch between them from your user menu.
- I lost my authenticator app. How do I sign in?
- Use one of the recovery codes you saved when you set up multi-factor authentication. If you have none left, contact your organization's admin or our support team.
