Monthly AI budget
Every AI action — drafting answers, reading documents, cataloguing knowledge, chat and AI tools — is metered against your organization’s monthly AI budget. Months run on UTC calendar months.
Who sets it
Section titled “Who sets it”Tradecraft sets the budget for your organization. Admins can see it, read-only, in Admin → Token usage: the limit, month-to-date spend, a forecast to month end, when it runs out at the current pace, and spend by area. To change it, contact us.
Alerts
Section titled “Alerts”At 80 % and 100 %, every active admin gets an in-app notification and an email, once per month each.
When the budget is used up
Section titled “When the budget is used up”No new AI work starts until the first of the next month, or until the budget is raised. Nothing is lost:
- Process stops with Processing stopped: monthly AI budget used up; continue later.
- Document reading pauses; select Retry later to continue.
- Layout detection falls back to a simpler method that doesn’t use AI.
- Answers that are already approved keep working in the Security Center.
Other organizations are never affected by yours.
