The assessment workflow
An assessment is one customer questionnaire. Tradecraft takes it through four steps.
Upload
Section titled “Upload”Go to Assessments and upload the questionnaire exactly as you received it: Excel (XLSX, CSV), Word (DOCX) or PDF, up to 25 MB. Add the customer, a due date and any notes from the requestor.
The due date defaults to 14 days after the request and must allow at least 5 days for processing. Admins can change both in Quick Setup step 1.
1. Analyze
Section titled “1. Analyze”Tradecraft reads the file’s layout and finds every question. Where your Knowledge Hub already holds an approved answer to the same question, it fills it in (From reference). Answers already present in the file are kept (Human answered). No AI drafting happens in this step.
2. Process
Section titled “2. Process”AI agents draft answers for the questions that are still empty. Each draft is checked and refined, gets a confidence score and cites its sources. When there isn’t enough context, the answer says so and is flagged rather than guessed.
Processing stops cleanly if your organization’s monthly AI budget is used up; you can continue later.
3. Review
Section titled “3. Review”Reviewers go through the answers next to the original questions — see Review and Finalize.
4. Finalize
Section titled “4. Finalize”An approver finalizes the assessment. Tradecraft writes the answers back into the original file format for download, and the approved answers join your Knowledge Hub so the next questionnaire goes faster.
